Postpartum Doulas support your whole family as you adjust to life with your newborn.
At Well Supported Family, our experienced team of Certified Postpartum Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists helps families navigate the tender, tiring, and transformative early months of parenthood with confidence and calm.
Caring for your newborn can be physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting - especially during the day, when the world keeps spinning but your body is recovering and your new routines are still being established.
If you need more continuous support, you can combine daytime postpartum support with our overnight newborn care. Families who want complete rest and recovery can even opt for 24/7 in-home newborn care.
Postpartum Support: The Secret to Enjoying the Fourth Trimester
Healing and adjusting to life with a newborn doesn’t come with an instruction manual … but it can come with a Postpartum Doula!
Postpartum Doulas are experts in post-birth healing and newborn care. They can help you decipher your newborn’s cues and teach you different ways to soothe your baby with advice for soothing, swaddling, bathing, feeding and more.
If you’re breastfeeding, Postpartum Doulas support you in breastfeeding comfortably with techniques to encourage your baby to latch deeply, so you can totally relax as your baby nurses. If you’re bottle feeding, your Postpartum Doula can share feeding techniques, formula storage guidelines, and signs your baby is hungry or full.
During the day, your Postpartum Doula can take over baby care while you rest or shower, or she can tidy up around the house while you bond with your baby.
Daytime postpartum support empowers you to:
Build confidence in your parenting skills through hands-on education and reassurance.
Recover physically with practical help and rest opportunities.
Nurture emotional well-being with nonjudgmental support.
Strengthen family rhythms with routines that balance your baby’s needs and your own.
